Each pipeline works a little differently — what you need to set up first, and how you submit work, both depend on which one you're using.
Essay Marking
Four subjects, Grades 1–12
Afrikaans Huistaal, Afrikaans EAT, English Home Language, English First Additional Language.

Built-in CAPS rubric by default
Works immediately with zero setup. Upload your own rubric once per subject if you want to mark against it instead.
Structured error-correction
Up to 20 flagged errors per essay, each with the standard DBE symbol (Sp, P, Gr/SV, and more), exact quote, and correction, plus a plain-language legend.
Rubric Marking
Seven content subjects
Life Orientation, History, Geography (Grades 8–12); Business Studies, Economics, Tourism, Religion Studies (Grades 10–12).

Works even with no rubric uploaded
Marks against your own uploaded rubric first, then a shared community rubric for that subject and grade, then falls back to best-effort marking if neither exists.

Not tied to a fixed subject list — mark against your own memo or answer key for anything you teach.

Requires your memo uploaded first
Unlike the other two pipelines, there's no fallback here — upload the memo or answer key for that exact subject, grade, and paper before you can mark against it.
A note on results
Every pipeline shows your score immediately in the app once marking finishes. Your teacher dashboard shows full submission history for essay marking only for now — a history view for rubric and memo marking is coming soon.
